Hey there :) I figured out my photo problem sooner than anticipated.....
A two day trip to Cape Cod last week was full of beauty and peaceful hours. My mother-in-law very patiently taught me to do this while visiting her home:
I can finally say I know how to knit! Just don't pay any attention to the wonkiness on the left edge there......it's all part of the learning, right? This will eventually be a scarf for my daughter.
My children and I also explored this beautiful lavender farm in Harwich:
This enchanted wood nearby:
And we fell in love with this fairy house at the farm, to the point where I am plotting to buy a bucket of ready mix cement and collect rocks and shells to build our own version in our back woods.....
I originally thought these roof shingles were made of bark but it looks like wood chips to me now that we are up close.
And a trip to the Cape is never complete without a little bit of horse power:
Yes, that is the sun you see! We've been experiencing a ridiculous amount of rainy days in our area and are trying to catch as much sunshine as we can during the moments it decides to peek through the clouds.
Now, back at home and keeping up with Summer plans, part-time stitching and the desire to be painting more. Seems my creative urges have been satisfied by my newly learned knitting skill this week :)
Back soon...
Yeah for you and your needles! I know just which book that is. Laura said I NEEDED it when she taught me, so I guess it's good we both have it:) I want to come frolic in the lavender with you and make a fairy castle. They really are like magical palaces... wow!
xox,

Hi Maya! Yes, the woman at the knitting store was very clear that the book had to come home with me. If you ever find yourself on the Cape, this lavender farm is a lovely place to stop...... Would love to have company building fairy castles :):)

Hi - I could not stop myself from commenting when I saw the fairy castle. I recently watched a wonderful documentary about the man who builds these rock castles. I am building one also...so I cannot wait to see your progress. BTW - I was also in the fishbowl. Your blog is great !
